RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Hanif Abbasi, PML-N’s winning candidate from a national assembly constituency in Rawalpindi, voiced concern over the serious allegations made by the Rawalpindi commissioner against the chief election commissioner and the chief justice of Pakistan, saying such accusations could lead to political instability in the country.

During a press conference, Abbasi denounced the commissioner’s confession, saying it was based on lies.

He questioned the sudden awakening of the commissioner's conscience after 10 days, and added that he did not hold any official position during the elections.

Abbasi said the commissioner spoke to him the other day regarding a mega project. He said that there was no pressure on him and he even congratulated all the winning candidates over telephone.

The PML-N leader said that his party's mandate was stolen in 2013 and 2018. "It will not happen now as we have all the forms 45, 47, 48 and 49."
